TLDR: There’s a Chase Offer for the Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card where you can get a Calm subscription for free or heavily discounted.

Chase has really been prioritizing wellness this past week—first an amazing deal offered for a WHOOP membership and now a subscription deal with Calm.com. My hope is that these Chase offers keep coming with both the Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card!

What is Calm?

Calm is a mental health app designed to help you manage stress, sleep better, and live a happier, healthier life. Their research-based tools help you build habits to support your mental health. If you're having trouble falling asleep, their 500+ Sleep Stories®, soundscapes, and guided sleep meditations can help you fall asleep.

If you're overwhelmed at work and need a breather, their stress and burnout specialists can guide you through exercises to help calm your mind. Calm states that they are here for you whenever or wherever you need them with more content and tools being added monthly.

Calm is basically an app that has all kinds of tools to help you sleep better and center yourself throughout the day. It can be great for people who have a high-stress lifestyle or experience anxiety. And of course for folks who are looking for a way to fall asleep faster at night.

What are the terms of the promotion with Chase Sapphire?

The Calm promotion is a partnership with Chase that appears in your Chase offers on the Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Preferred cards.

  • With the Chase Sapphire Reserve, you will get 100% back on an annual Calm premium subscription (including taxes). With the Chase Sapphire Reserve the max cash back you can receive on the subscription purchase is $91. With the premium subscription being $79.99, my thought is that you will only have to pay some taxes if the purchase ends up exceeding $91.
  • Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders will receive 50% back on an annual Calm premium subscription.

The Chase offers for a premium Calm subscription on both the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Chase Sapphire Preferred expire on March 31st, 2026. Also, you cannot use this Chase offer to buy the subscription on an app store—it must be purchased online at Calm.com. I would recommend that you purchase an annual Calm subscription soon because there is always the chance that Chase pulls the offer from their site.

Is it worth buying a Calm subscription with the Chase Sapphire Reserve®?

I’m not as enthusiastic about this Chase offer as I was about the Chase offer for a WHOOP membership but it can still work for lots of folks. I don’t really have any trouble sleeping and I like to listen to YouTube videos before falling asleep.

Ever since hearing about this Chase offer with Calm, I’ve been doing some research online to see what people think of it. There’s been a ton of positive reviews. Some people have said using Calm has helped them get through tough times especially when they have used the meditation features. I even read that some folks bought a lifetime membership with Calm—it’s $499.99 and then you have Calm for life (but keep in mind the maximum credit on the Reserve is $91).

Is it worth buying a Calm subscription with the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card?

If you are already thinking about buying an annual Calm Premium subscription it might be worth using your 50% back Chase offer to get the subscription.

But honestly, I would look into options via your work or insurance to see if they have free or discounted calm subscriptions. With the Chase Sapphire Reserve® offer, it’s a no-brainer as you’ll get a Calm premium subscription for free. If your work and health insurer do not offer discounted or a free Calm subscription, the Chase offer for half off an annual Calm premium subscription could definitely be worth it for you.

Final Thoughts

I’m not as excited about Chase’s promotion with Calm vs. their promotion with WHOOP but I know some friends and family who would enjoy Calm. It could be amazing for folks who have trouble sleeping at night or who want to try out meditation. I won’t be getting the Calm premium subscription because I know I will not use it. But maybe I should ask around to see who would like a free annual Calm premium subscription with my Chase offer on my Chase Sapphire Reserve.

Will you be getting an annual Calm premium subscription with your Chase Sapphire Reserve or Chase Sapphire Preferred?
