If you’ve tried finding a Salt Lake City restaurant for your Chase Sapphire Reserve® dining credit, you may have come away thinking there are no options. OpenTable’s Sapphire Reserve city directory omit Salt Lake City and it also says Utah has no restaurants.

But opening individual restaurant pages tells a different story. Four Salt Lake City–area restaurants still display a Sapphire Reserve badge on their own OpenTable listings. The trick is knowing where to look.

How to find Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Table restaurants

Looking for restaurants beyond Salt Lake City? Use nextcard’s Sapphire Reserve dining credit map to browse the nationwide list. We also track additional restaurants that display the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables badge on their individual OpenTable pages but don’t appear in OpenTable’s main Chase dining directory… including the four Salt Lake City options below.

Why are these restaurants so hard to find?

The confusing part is the mismatch between OpenTable’s city directory and its individual restaurant pages. If you try to find the restaurants via the OpenTable Exclusive Tables directory… Salt Lake City isn’t there!

To make matters more confusing, Utah is also blank:

That has understandably led diners to believe Salt Lake City no longer has participating restaurants.

However, a Salt Lake City Reddit discussion reflects that confusion, including a report that Prohibition still appears. Upon further investigation, we found 4 eligible restaurants as of October 2026.

How to find and check the Sapphire Reserve $300 Dining Credit eligibility

One way of going about it is by downloading the OpenTable app. Then follow these steps:

  1. Search for the restaurant by its exact name. Use OpenTable’s regular restaurant search instead of relying on the Sapphire Reserve city directory.

  2. Open the restaurant’s full listing. Then, look for the Chase Sapphire Reserve logo or access badge within the page. On the website/app, the listings display “Unlock Sapphire Reserve access.”

  3. (Optional) Tap the badge. This opens the benefit details. Depending on whether your card is already linked, you may see an invitation to unlock access or confirmation that you have it.

You can also use the direct restaurant links in the table above. The key is opening each restaurant’s own page and checking its Sapphire Reserve designation.

Other restaurants missing from OpenTable’s dining directory

Salt Lake City isn’t the only place where this discrepancy shows up. We’re tracking five additional restaurant listings that display the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables badge despite being absent from OpenTable’s main Chase dining directory:

Restaurant

Location

Bar Le Cote

Los Olivos, California

Beholder

Indianapolis, Indiana

Clark’s Oyster Bar – Aspen

Aspen, Colorado

St Elmo

Indianapolis, Indiana

The Copper Room

Yucca Valley, California

Use the same verification process: open the restaurant’s OpenTable page, look for its Sapphire Reserve badge, and tap through to the benefit details.

Frequently asked questions

Are there Sapphire Reserve dining restaurants in Salt Lake City?

As of October 4, 2026, four Salt Lake City restaurants should be eligible for the dining credit: Cosmica, Matteo Ristorante Italiano, Prohibition, and Sunday’s Best at the Post District. Check their individual listings for the Sapphire Reserve $300 dining credit badge before visiting, since participation can change.

Why doesn’t Salt Lake City appear in OpenTable’s Sapphire Reserve directory?

OpenTable’s city directory and individual restaurant listings show conflicting information. Salt Lake City is missing from the directory and Utah says there are no restaurants, while the four restaurant pages above still display Sapphire Reserve access. The reason for that discrepancy is unclear.

Do I need the OpenTable app to find these restaurants?

No. The app is one option, but you can also open the direct OpenTable links in this article using your browser. Look for the Sapphire Reserve badge on the restaurant’s individual page and open it to review the benefit details.

Does every restaurant on OpenTable qualify for the dining credit?

No. The credit applies to eligible restaurants in the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables program. A regular OpenTable listing alone does not establish eligibility. Pay with your eligible Sapphire Reserve card to receive a statement credit on qualifying purchases.
