Bilt and Equinox Launch New Partnership (2026)

Bilt and Equinox have launched an interesting new partnership. Starting today, through the Bilt Neighborhood Concierge, Bilt members can browse Equinox class schedules, review club amenities and book spa services. Bilt members can also upgrade an Equinox membership in the Bilt app.

There are several benefits, including new Bilt Cash redemptions, a special welcome offer for Bilt members joining Equinox, and a sweepstake for one month of free rent.

Quite a bit to unpack here and it is a potentially valuable package… of course depending on whether or not you’re an Equinox member.

The special Bilt offer for new Equinox members

Bilt members with Bilt and Equinox accounts in good standing who enroll in an Equinox membership through the Bilt platform and link their accounts are eligible to receive one of these one-time promotional benefits:

• 10,000 Bilt Points

• One complimentary Personal Training session

• One complimentary 50-minute spa service

The three benefits are alternatives, not a combined package. Eligible members receive only one of them.

Can the selected Bilt Equinox welcome benefit stack with other promotions?

The partnership terms do not state whether the single Bilt/Equinox welcome benefit can be combined with waived initiation fees, corporate rates, referrals, targeted promotions or complimentary services offered through another Equinox channel.

Don’t overlook the recurring membership cost

The selected Bilt welcome benefit is a one-time perk. Equinox dues vary by club and membership tier, so even a relatively small difference in the monthly rate can outweigh that benefit over a full year.

For example, Equinox’s Park Avenue enrollment page lists Select Access at $270 per month, All Access at $350 and Destination Access at $370. That is an $80 to $100 monthly difference (or $960 to $1,200 over a year) before considering initiation fees or other charges.

Notably, you could probably still pay your Equinox fees with an Amex Plat, so worth linking your cards to your Bilt Wallet.

Yay! More ways to use Bilt Cash (assuming you are an Equinox member). 

Joint Bilt and Equinox members can redeem Bilt Cash for Equinox credits toward select spa services, Studio Pilates and Personal Training. Members can receive two credits per calendar year, and the maximum value of each credit depends on Bilt status:

Each redemption requires at least $50 in Bilt Cash

• Equinox credits can be used toward select spa treatments, Studio Pilates or Personal Training sessions at eligible Equinox Club locations.

• To use an Equinox credit for Studio Pilates or Personal Training, visit the front desk at an eligible Equinox club for help booking.

• To use a credit toward an eligible spa treatment, book the service through the Bilt or EQX+ app.

• When you arrive for a spa appointment, tell The Spa front desk that you want to apply the credit to your booking.

• Credits do not apply to taxes, gratuities or ineligible services.

• One credit is available from January 1 through June 30, and the second is available from July 1 through December 31 of each calendar year.

Remember the Bilt Cash earning & expiration rules

Bilt Cash is a use it or lose it currency. It expires on December 31 of the calendar year in which it was earned, though up to $100 can roll over into the following year. 

This makes the Equinox partnership more meaningful for members who might otherwise finish the year with more than $100 in unused Bilt Cash. Redeeming toward a service they already intended to book could prevent some of that balance from expiring.

How the Bilt offer compares with other ways to join Equinox

Equinox prices and promotions vary by club, market, membership tier and enrollment channel. That makes the new Bilt package difficult to value in isolation. 

Assuming you can’t combine promotions, here are some of the other ways to join Equinox. 

1. Equinox’s public new-member offer

Equinox regularly changes its public joining promotion. The current Equinox Reset offer advertises a $200 Spa credit plus complimentary services for new members who join for a limited time.

The public offer overlaps with two of the Bilt choices: the complimentary spa service and Personal Training session.

Compare the public Equinox offer with the single Bilt benefit you expect to receive; do not count all three Bilt benefits together.

2. Corporate or employer membership

Some employers provide access to corporate Equinox rates. Equinox’s corporate membership page advertises $0 initiation for eligible corporate members and may include a fitness assessment, Personal Training and Pilates benefits. Certain employers can also have preferred monthly pricing.

This can be useful since those initiation fees can stack up!

Is the Bilt Equinox partnership worth it?

For a Bilt member planning to join Equinox through Bilt, the partnership is worth investigating. The member may receive one of three one-time benefits—10,000 Bilt Points, a complimentary Personal Training session or a complimentary 50-minute spa service—while Bilt Cash redemptions may help use balances that could otherwise expire.

Whether the selected one-time Bilt benefit can stack with another Equinox promotion remains unconfirmed. The recurring Equinox membership price is likely the more important long-term cost.

Potentially (we think yes). The American Express Platinum Card® offers up to $300 in Equinox statement credits per calendar year after enrollment for eligible Equinox memberships or Equinox+. 

So you could sign up using the Bilt offer and then pay your membership normally with an Amex Platinum.

Can existing Equinox members receive the 10,000 Bilt Points?

The stated terms require members enroll in an Equinox membership through the Bilt platform. Existing Equinox members should not assume they qualify unless they complete an eligible enrollment through Bilt.

Can Bilt Cash pay Equinox membership dues?

No. Monthly membership dues are not listed as an eligible use of Bilt Cash.
