TLDR; Cardmembers who applied to the Chase Sapphire Reserve® before June 23, 2025 will receive all the new benefits starting October 26, 2025.
Chase is (finally) rolling out a bunch of new benefits on their revamped Chase Sapphire Reserve® for cardmembers who got the card before June 23, 2025.
The one downside is that the annual fee is going up to $795 from $550.
Otherwise it’s benefits galore. You will now get up to $300 in StubHub credit, up to $500 in the Edit credit, up to $300 in dining credit and up to $250 in Apple TV+ and Apple Music subscriptions. This comes with a lot of the old benefits on the Chase Sapphire Reserve®.
What are the new benefits on the Chase Sapphire Reserve®?
There are lots of new intriguing benefits on the Chase Sapphire Reserve® that old cardmembers might enjoy. I can tell you that I’m really excited to use the new benefits.
What is the Sapphire Reserve's $300 StubHub credit?
First of all if you haven’t heard of StubHub, it is an online platform where you can buy and sell tickets similar to sites like Ticketmaster or SeatGeek. And with the revamped Chase Sapphire Reserve®, you will receive up to $300 annually in statement credits for Stubhub purchases (and for its sister site Viagogo).
The $300 credit is split up into two $150 statement credits. One is from January through June and the other goes from July through December.
In order to use the StubHub credit, you must activate it first. All you need to do is go under “Chase offers” on your Chase account and activate the StubHub credit.
I’m traveling to Orlando to visit family for Christmas and it’s turned into an annual tradition to go to a Orlando Magic basketball game.

So my plan is to book two tickets for my sister and myself to go to the Magic game on December 26th. Since the credit is split up into two $150 credits, I will have access to one of them the rest of this year. That means I could book two tickets for my sister and I while only paying $5.00 out of pocket! The StubHub credit on the Chase Sapphire Reserve® takes care of the rest.
What is the Sapphire Reserve's $300 Dining credit?
You can use the up to $300 dining credit at over 250 restaurants across the United States on Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables. These restaurants are mostly in highly populated areas and big cities. There are a variety of cuisines with these restaurants, all being pretty high quality.
The $300 credit comes biannually. You will get a $150 statement credit when you dine at restaurants participating in the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables from January 1st to June 30th and then another $150 from July 1st to December 31st.
Whether you are looking for a restaurant to visit near you or on vacation, you’ll be able to make good use out of this credit.
We made a tool so that users can quickly find out how they can use their Reserve's dining credit. It's a map that features all the eligible restaurants.
What is the Sapphire Reserve $250 in Apple TV+ and Apple Music subscriptions?
You will receive complimentary Apple TV+ and Apple Music subscriptions with your Chase Sapphire Reserve® through 6/22/2027. All you have to do is open up your Chase account and look at the Apple Music and Apple TV+ offers in the card benefits section. Then you connect your Apple ID once clicking on these offers.
If you have a paid subscription, the complimentary subscription will override it and cancel the paid subscription.
I don’t use Apple Music or Apple TV+ but have some ideas on how to use both. Currently I have Spotify as my music streaming service and am considering changing over to Apple Music to save money. As for Apple TV+, I don’t have any use for it, but my girlfriend does! She doesn’t have a traditional TV provider on her TV in her room at her apartment. From what she tells me and based on the research I did, Apple TV+ has shows, movies and some live TV options.
If you’re a soccer fan, Apple TV+ allows you to subscribe to the Major League Soccer pass for free. You can watch all of the MLS games free of charge on your Apple TV+ complimentary subscription.
What is the Sapphire Reserve $500 credit with The Edit?
Chase is offering an interesting hotel credit where you can get two $250 statement credits when you book through the Edit on Chase Travel, equaling $500 total.
When Chase first announced this in June, the Edit credit was for two $250 statement credits—one for January through June and then another for July through December.
However, Chase made a change to the Edit credit for next year. Starting January 1, 2026, you will be able to use the two $250 statement credits anytime during the year giving you some more flexibility when booking.
When you book with the Edit, you will get daily breakfast for two along with a $100 property credit. The property credit can be used on a variety of things—parking, dining, spa services etc etc.
Full disclosure, when I first heard of this benefit I assumed it was poor value. I was imagining expensive hotels with per night rates of $500 plus.
Upon doing some research, I’ve found that there are some interesting redemptions out there with the Edit credit. I was looking at the Eaton DC hotel in Washington DC and they have some pretty solid rates.

At $383 all in for a two night stay from December 16-18, you would receive $250 off with the Edit credit making it $133 for two nights. Now, I looked on the hotel’s official website to see how much it would be for two nights on the same dates. It came out to $262 for two nights. That means you would save $129!

Not only are you saving $129, but you are also getting some excellent benefits. Free breakfast (which wouldn’t already be included in your hotel stay) and a $100 property credit. The property credit can essentially be used on whatever you can charge to your room. Let’s say you want to grab a couple of drinks at the hotel bar—that works. Or you could get dinner.
Do you keep all of your old benefits on your Chase Sapphire Reserve®?
The answer as to whether you keep all your old benefits on the Chase Sapphire Reserve® is that it's complicated. You will get all the perks like the Lyft credit, Doordash benefits, Peloton credit, Priority Pass membership, IHG platinum status, the travel credit and Global Entry/TSA precheck credit.
However, Chase has changed the earning rates on the Chase Sapphire Reserve®.
The New Earning Rates
Earning Category | New Earning Rate | Old Earning Rate |
|---|---|---|
Hotels booked through Chase Travel | 8x points per dollar | 10x points per dollar |
Rental cars booked through Chase Travel | 8x points per dollar | 10x points per dollar |
Flights booked through Chase Travel | 8x points per dollar | 5x points per dollar |
Flights booked directly with airlines | 4x points per dollar | 3x points per dollar |
Hotels booked directly | 4x points per dollar | 3x points per dollar |
All other travel, including cruises, vacation rentals and transit | 1x point per dollar | 3x points per dollar |
I find these changes overall to be a downgrade. You can no longer get 3 points per dollar spent on miscellaneous travel purchases like if you took the train regularly or were booking a cruise.
The extra point per dollar on hotels & airlines booked directly is the only half-decent benefit I see with these earning rate changes.
Final Remarks
For cardmembers of the Chase Sapphire Reserve® who got it before June 23, 2025, the new benefits can be excellent additions. You can also think of it as a way to trial the card with these new benefits with your old annual fee of $550. You’ll just have to ask yourself before your next account anniversary—is it worth it to keep this card with an annual fee of $795? Personally, I’m still deciding. I really like the idea of the $300 StubHub credit along with the $300 dining credit as I would spend that amount on sporting events and dining anyways. As for the Apple TV+ & Apple Music complimentary subscriptions, it’s less interesting. And with the Edit credit I have a lot more research to do.
