TLDR; There are a number of Chase cards that offer varying amounts of Instacart credits and Instacart+.

If you love delivering groceries to your doorstep, you’ll love the Instacart benefits you receive on a bunch of Chase credit cards. There’s a plethora of Chase business and personal cards that offer complimentary Instacart+ along with monthly credits on your Instacart orders.

What Chase United cards offer Instacart benefits?

There’s several United credit cards that offer Instacart benefits including complimentary Instacart+ and discounts on orders. The cards are:

  • The New United Club℠ Card & United Club℠ Business Card: Complimentary Instacart+ membership through December 31, 2027, two $10 Instacart credits at the beginning of each month (for each card)
  • The New United Quest℠ Card: Complimentary 3 months Instacart+ membership, one $10 Instacart credit on your first purchase, and $5 Instacart credit on your second purchase each month with your eligible card (total $15) when you maintain your Instacart+ membership. 50% off an annual Instacart+ membership renewal with your eligible card
  • United℠ Business Card & United℠ Explorer Card: Complimentary 3 months Instacart+ membership, $10 Instacart credit each month when you maintain your Instacart+ membership with your eligible card, 25% off an annual Instacart+ membership renewal with your eligible card

All of the Instacart benefits on the United cards are a nice little bonus to the benefits each card offers. What sticks out to me is the fact that you can get complimentary Instacart+ through December 31, 2027 with the The New United Club℠ Card or United Club℠ Business Card—Instacart+ is normally $99 annually so this can end up being over $180 in value. Instacart+ makes delivering groceries a much more reasonable option as well.

After you have enrolled your card and have your Instacart account set up, you will be on your way to getting monthly credits and enjoying the benefits of Instacart+.

What are some other Chase cards that offer complimentary Instacart+ and Instacart credits?

Here are some Chase cards that offer complimentary Instacart+ for 3 months along with a $10 monthly Instacart credit:

  • Aer Lingus Visa Signature
  • British Airways Visa Signature
  • Iberia Plus Visa Signature
  • Aeroplan Card
  • IHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card
  • IHG Premier Card
  • IHG Premier Business Card
  • Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card
  • Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card
  • Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful® Credit Card

Pretty much all the Chase cobranded credit cards offer this credit. This is quite an extensive list of cards that offer a $10 monthly Instacart credit along with 3 months of complimentary Instacart+. If you are someone who loves points and miles like myself, there’s a good chance you have some of these cards.

I personally have the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card and IHG Premier Card—with both of these cards I get $20 total of Instacart credits and 6 months total of Instacart+!

What are the benefits for the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card and Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card via Instacart?

The Ink Business Cash® Credit Card and Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card are the two cards that arguably take the crown for Instacart benefits—with each card you get 3 months of Instacart+ and $20 of monthly Instacart credits. I have both business cards and the benefits are delightful.

I absolutely love when it's the beginning of a month because that means I have $40 of credit while also taking advantage of Instacart+. Here’s an order I placed where I got a pound of ground lamb, parmesan cheese and Quaker Rice Cakes delivered to my door for just $4.49 using my Instacart benefits.

This would normally cost around $20-$25 in the store and I could order it for less than $5 all from the comfort of my home!

A similar story with this order as well where I got $20-$25 of food for just $4.98.

The amazing thing? Both the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card and Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card come with no annual fee.

What does Instacart+ get you?

With Instacart+, you’ll get $0 delivery fees on eligible orders of $10 or more. This is particularly useful because most of the Chase Instacart credits are awarded in $10 batches. Meaning, if your order is close to $10, then you'll typically just be charged the service fee out of pocket.

There’s two other neat benefits connected to Instacart+—Peacock Premium at no additional cost and a free one year subscription to New York Times Cooking.

Peacock Premium costs $109.99 a year which is fantastic considering you are getting this benefit via Instacart+ simply with a credit card. The New York Times Cooking subscription isn’t a huge benefit for me as I like to look up recipes online at various sources. But, if you’re a foodie and enjoy cooking you might enjoy the subscription.

Can I stack my Instacart+ benefits?

You might’ve noticed that all of the Instacart+ offers on these Chase credit cards are temporary. Well, the neat thing is that you can extend your Instacart+ membership simply by adding another credit card that has a complimentary Instacart+ offer. You could end up extending your complimentary Instacart+ by years depending on the number of cards you have.

In my case, since I have several qualifying Chase cards, I was able to get over 12 months of free Instacart+. And for every month of Instacart+, that means I have more credits to take advantage of every month.

Final Remarks

I have always prioritized other benefits on credit cards over these Instacart perks and I regret that. The Instacart benefits on certain Chase cards are worth taking advantage of every single month. And for some folks every time they shop for groceries. The complimentary Instacart+ allows you to mostly remove your delivery fees, making Instacart a competitive option to shopping in-store.

If you have one of the Chase cards with Instacart benefits, will you be making some delivery orders?

FAQs

Before deciding whether it’s worth it to buy Instacart+, I would look into if you have other credit cards that have complimentary Instacart+ to extend your membership. And I would rather shop in-store than pay for Instacart+.

Nope. You can shop at stores like PetSmart, Dollar Tree, Dick’s Sporting Goods and other options.

I haven’t noticed a difference in quality of delivery between DoorDash and Instacart. Although, I will say that Instacart orders sometimes take longer.

No. These Instacart benefits should be seen as an added bonus to cards, rather than a key feature. For us, it's a nice to have.

No—don’t feel like you have to use all of your credit card benefits to get good value. It can become stressful and overwhelming for some.
