The Aspire Card provides up to $400 annually in statement credits for eligible purchases made directly with participating Hilton resorts. However, the benefit isn't available as one $400 credit.
Instead, American Express divides it into two periods: $200 for January 1 through June 30, and then another $200 for July 1 to December 31. You can use the credit toward eligible room charges and qualifying incidentals at participating Hilton resorts.
For example, suppose you book two nights at an eligible resort for $150/night:
Your room subtotal would be $300. If the full amount qualifies and you haven't used your credit for that half of the year, you could receive a $200 statement credit.
That would leave an effective room cost of $100 before any additional charges.
There are several important restrictions.
You must pay directly with your Aspire Card.
The property must participate in the resort credit program.
Advance Purchase and nonrefundable rates are excluded.
Eligible incidental charges must generally be billed to your room and paid with your Aspire card.
Unused semiannual credits don't roll over.
The resort credit is separate from the card's other benefits, including its annual Free Night Reward. If you're using points or your free night award for a stay, you could always use the resort credit towards incidentals, the hotel restaurant, or spa.
The Hilton Aspire Resort Credits Map makes finding affordable Hilton resorts much easier by showing participating properties around the world on an interactive map. Instead of searching Hilton's website hotel by hotel, you can quickly find eligible resorts and compare locations to see where your $200 semiannual credit could go the furthest.
The map is especially useful if you're flexible about where to travel. You can explore affordable resorts in the US, Europe, Asia, and beyond, then check Hilton's website for available rates on your preferred dates.
Once you've found a property, book directly with Hilton using your Aspire card and choose an eligible rate. Remember that Advance Purchase and nonrefundable rates are excluded from the resort credit.
You don't need to spend $500/night to use the Hilton Aspire resort credit.
We found international resorts starting at $56/night, US properties starting at $104/night, and European options starting at $90/night.
For travelers already planning an international trip, the cheapest properties in Malaysia, China, Mexico, and Spain are worth checking out. If you prefer staying closer to home, Williamsburg and Orlando offer affordable alternatives.
