TLDR; Lyft has several rewards partners where you can earn points/miles in addition to rewards you earn using a credit card.
Lyft has remained one of the most popular rideshare apps out there and there are plenty of great credit cards to use for these purchases.
Notably, they also have several rewards partners that you can choose from to earn points/miles alongside the rewards you earn using a credit card. These stack, making it effectively a "double dip" strategy that is worth taking advantage of. The rewards partners include United MileagePlus, Hilton Honors, Atmos Rewards by Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines and Bilt Rewards.
What’s the list of Lyft linking partners and their earn rates?
- Atmos Rewards:
- 3 points per $1 on airport rides, extra comfort & Black
- 2 points per $1 on standard and XL rides
- United MileagePlus:
- 4 miles per $1 on scheduled airport rides,
- 3 miles per $1 on extra comfort, Black, Black SUV and on-demand airport rides
- 1 mile per $1 on standard, priority pickup and XL rides
- Hilton Honors:
- 3 points per $1 on all rides
- Bilt Rewards:
- 2 points per $1 on US rides
- Can pay for rides with points
The Bilt Rewards points are most intriguing to me out of all of the rewards programs on this list. A huge reason is that Bilt points are a transferable currency while all the other rewards programs are confined to just one program.
How do you link your preferred rewards partner to your Lyft account?
You’ll go to your Lyft app on your phone and go to the “You” section in the bottom right hand of the screen.

Then underneath “Programs”, you will select “Rewards.”

After that, you will choose “Linked” under Rewards or scroll down to the Linked section.

Under “Linked,” you will be able to choose your rewards partner—Hilton Honors, Bilt Rewards, Atmos Rewards or United MileagePlus. For my Lyft account, you can see that I chose Atmos Rewards already.
What is Bilt Rewards?
Bilt Rewards is the rewards program for Bilt which is a housing and neighborhood commerce network that transforms spend into rewards and benefits for everyone involved, and the first program to allow members to earn rewards on rent.
With the Bilt Rewards program, you can earn points when paying rent when using the Bilt Mastercard® You earn 1 point per $1 spent on rent payments, up to 100,000 Bilt points every calendar year.
You can also use a bank account or debit card to pay your rent to earn Bilt points. However, it’s at a much lower rate along with processing fees.
And with the Bilt World Elite Mastercard, you earn:
- 6 points per $1 when you spend at Bilt’s dining partner restaurants

- Avianca Lifemiles
- Qatar Airways

Bilt is the only transferable currency available as a Lyft linking partner, which makes them standout significantly.
What is Atmos Rewards?
Atmos Rewards is the new loyalty program for Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. Besides connecting your Lyft account to your Atmos Rewards account, there are many ways to get Atmos Rewards points:
- Flying on Alaska, Hawaiian or any of their 30 partner airlines
- You can transfer your Bilt points to Atmos Rewards points at a 1:1 ratio
- With an Alaska or Hawaiian Airlines credit card
- You can buy Atmos Rewards points if you are in a pinch
What is the Hilton Honors rewards program?
Hilton Honors is the loyalty program for over 8,000 Hilton properties in 139 countries. You can earn Hilton Honors points in a number of ways:
- Hilton credit cards
- Hotel stays at Hilton properties
- Hilton’s transfer partners:
- Bilt Rewards (1:1 ratio)
- AMEX Membership Rewards (1:2 ratio)
- Virgin Atlantic Airways (2:3 ratio)
What is United MileagePlus?
United MileagePlus is the loyalty program for United Airlines. As someone who flies United relatively frequently there are many ways to earn United miles:
- United credit cards
- Transfer from Chase at a 1:1 ratio
- Fly on United
There are other ways to earn United miles but these are by far the most common ways to get United miles.
What rewards program should I link to my Lyft account?
When I’m looking for more points, I’m always looking at transferable currencies. That’s why Bilt Rewards takes the crown as the best Lyft linking partner. The reason being that you can transfer Bilt Rewards points to 18 airline partners and 5 hotel partners. And with Bilt’s new cards with Cardless, you can earn points on rent OR mortgages starting on February 7th, 2026. If you have a Bilt card right now, I would 100% choose Bilt as your Lyft linking partner.
With the other Lyft linking partners, you are confined to that single program. With that being said, there are still other good options.
I would say that Atmos Rewards is at a solid second place for Lyft linking partners. You’ll earn 3 points per $1 on airport rides, extra comfort & Black rides. If you take a lot of Lyft rides to the airport or prefer the premium version of Lyft rides, Atmos Rewards might be a good choice. If you are booking standard or XL rides, you earn 2 points per $1 spent so I’d go for Bilt in that case. Bilt gives you that flexibility where you can transfer to Atmos Rewards if you’d like but also transfer to their 22 other airline & hotel partners.
Here’s where the drop-off comes. United MileagePlus is at a distant third. The only solid earn rate they have for Lyft is on scheduled airport rides being 4 points per $1 spent on scheduled airport rides. The only way I could see you choose United is if you don’t live on the West Coast and can’t take advantage of Atmos Rewards and their number of transfer partners.
It’s a similar but worse story with Hilton Honors. I would rate them 4th. Hilton Honors points are notoriously not valuable. You might choose Hilton Honors as a Lyft linking partner if you don’t use Bilt and fly very rarely.
Final Remarks
After stumbling upon the Lyft linking partner opportunity a couple months ago, it sounded like a great opportunity to earn extra points/miles. And it sure is. Whether you use Lyft on vacations, business trips or for everyday use, you should 100% choose a Lyft linking partner. It’s an easy way to get you a little bit closer to your next dream vacay even if it's only a few hundred or a few thousand points.
FAQs
Yes. You can link your Uber account to Delta Air Lines and Marriott Bonvoy simultaneously. Unfortunately, you cannot earn Marriott points or Delta miles on standard Uber rides. You can earn points or miles on Uber Eats and Uber premium rides.
Nope. You can earn as many points/miles as you’d like on Lyft rides once you link your rewards partner.
Yes—you aren’t locked into a rewards program when you choose one.
I’ve found that Uber is the better rideshare app but there’s not a huge difference. If I can save some money, I’ll gladly choose Lyft over Uber.
The new Bilt cards come out on February 7th, 2026 and there will be three different cards. One card at $0, another at $95 and a super premium card at $495.
