What is the $75 Infatuation credit being offered on the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card?

TLDR; Chase is offering a $75 statement credit on the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card when you spend $150 or more at a select Infatuation Link & Dine restaurants across the United States

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card’s $75 statement credit after you spend $150 or more at Infatuation Link & Dine restaurants is an intriguing and unique benefit. Essentially if you have a $150 dinner you can get it (at best) 50% off!

It can be great for a meal out with friends or family where you put down your Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card. It can also be good if you go out with your significant other and get drinks, apps and entrees. Maybe a decadent dessert as well.

What is The Infatuation?

The Infatuation is a New York based restaurant recommendation website & messaging service. They are best known for publishing reviews of restaurants and restaurant guides. It was created by two former music industry executives, Chris Stang and Andrew Steinthal.

According to The Infatuation’s website (theinfatuation.com), their restaurant reviews and guides are all written by a small group of highly trained, highly opinionated writers and editors.

How do you set up the Infatuation Link & Dine feature with Chase on The Infatuation’s site?

In order to link your Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card to The Infatuation Link & Dine feature, you must first create an account with The Infatuation (either on theinfatuation.com or The Infatuation mobile app). And then you can link your Chase account from your newly created Infatuation account.

In order to ensure that your purchase triggers the $75 statement credit, the purchase must be identifiable to Chase that it came from an Infatuation Link & Dine restaurant. Make sure you use the physical card when dining out as Apple Pay with your Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card may not allow you to receive the credit.

Where can you use the $75 Infatuation credit on the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card?

The restaurants that are available across the United States for the $75 credit are limited to 11 major cities. The cities are New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, Washington D.C., San Diego, Dallas, Houston, Seattle, San Francisco and Chicago.

For each city there’s at least 10 restaurants to choose from as well. The issue of course is that if you don’t live near these cities, the credit is not very useful if you are not traveling from September 16th to October 16th.

We built a map tool so you can easily see where the credit can be used.

How much longer does the Infatuation credit last?

You have to act fast on this credit since it expires on October 16, 2025 per the Infatuation.

Hopefully you live in or near a big city where you can use this credit.

What do I wish was different about the Infatuation credit?

There are a couple of things I wish were different about the Infatuation credit but it's something I’ve grown to like after doing some research on it. When I saw $75 off $150, I was like damn I’d have to spend a lot of money to get the statement credit. But I realized that I could just go to dinner with a few friends and boom, 50% off.

To start, I wish the Infatuation credit was easier to use. I find that most folks will be confused by the benefit and go to Infatuation restaurants without linking their Chase account to a newly created Infatuation account. Maybe it could be listed in a featured section in Chase offers on your Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card account. And then all you would have to do is click add the offer to your Chase card.

Another thing is I of course wish the benefit lasted longer. Since most of these Infatuation restaurants are in big cities, folks that aren’t in big cities would have to travel to take advantage of it. That’s why it would make more sense if the credit lasted three months because people might already have a trip booked to a city in that timeframe.

How would I use the $75 Infatuation statement credit?

There are 14 restaurants where I could use the Infatuation Link & Dine credit near me. For context, I live about 45 minutes to an hour outside of the Boston area but frequently go into the city. And if you’re looking for Infatuation Link & Dine restaurants near you, you can use our search tool.

After perusing the options near me, one of the restaurants that stands out to me is Tony & Elaine’s in Boston. This is an Italian restaurant in the North End of Boston—the North End is famous for authentic Italian food with lots of family owned restaurants descending from Italy. And the restaurant boasts a 4.4/5 rating on Google reviews out of over 600 reviews.

The other option I found interesting was Bar Vlaha in Brookline which is just 10 minutes outside of Boston. It’s a Greek restaurant with all kinds of extravagant dishes. You can get yourself Kontosouvli which is slow roasted chicken with greek yogurt. Or you could get Arni Stin Souvla which is slow spit-roasted lamb leg with garlic and rosemary (that’s what sounded best to me).

Bar Vlaha has a 4.7/5 rating on Google reviews with more than 550 reviews. It also has a 4.9/5 rating on OpenTable.com which is an extremely popular online restaurant reservation service. It’s highly respected as they serve over 1.8 billion diners annually while they also have over 136 million restaurant reviews left by the OpenTable diner network globally since its inception. And you can’t get much better than a 4.9 rating.

Final Remarks

At first glance, I have to admit that I wasn’t all that impressed with this statement credit opportunity with The Infatuation. However, upon a deeper dive, I have found that there are more than 10 spots that are Infatuation Link & Dine restaurants near me that would’ve been fantastic if I still had my Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card.

The good thing is that I have gotten my sister into the travel rewards game and she has the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card. It will be great for her as she should earn 450 Chase points on a $150 restaurant purchase (3 points per $1 spent on dining) AND she will receive a $75 statement credit.

If you live or travel to one of the 11 different cities that offer Infatuation Link & Dine restaurants, then you can 100% make use of the $75 statement credit opportunity with your Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and an Infatuation account.
